Well boys and girls the 2019 IMAC NORTH CENTRAL competition season is upon us.  Our first contest of the year is from our good friend;  Mr. IMAC prez himself, Mike Karnes.  His contest kicks off at the AMA headquarters on site 4 on May 18 and 19.  Please see his flier on the North Central page and REMEMBER THAT IMAC CARD FOR A $20 OFF DISCOUNT!  Alternate Sequences will be flown

In the bullpen warming up is the 19th Annual Columbus IMAC Challenge hosted by Kurt Koelling and the Westerville Club.  This event will be held May 25 & 26.  Alternate sequences to be flown.  This is a great contest and one of the nicest areas to fly in.  Kurt runs an efficient fun event with lots of flying.

North Central IMAC Basic Primer 2019

I would like to thank Phil Shea & the Kent Radio Aero Modelers in Alto Michigan for hosting our Basic Primer!  Spring finally arrived in our Northern State and the day could not have been better.  A sunny sky and mild wind was very beneficial for the first flights of the season…

Overall, 13 pilots attended the seminar which included some familiar faces and some new pilots from the surrounding area.  We began with a brief introduction to IMAC and spent close to an hour running through the basic Aresti. After the seminar we then conducted a flight demonstration exhibiting the different maneuvers and discussed judging criteria.  A light lunch was served and we then proceeded with setting up each airplane and helped trimming in the air!

Special thanks to Cam McCausey & Matt Komar who greatly helped pull the event together.  It was a busy day for all, but lots of fun and we look forward to next year.
