Pilots welcome to the WSRC flying field in Mocksville for the Spring Mocksville IMAC Classic – traditionally the 1st SE contest north of Florida. The field will be open for practice on Friday April 9th. Also on Friday will be tips and techniques to help newer pilots fly their sequences better. This will start around 1 pm and continue until there are no more pilots or daylight – whichever comes first !
Camping is allowed on site – no hookups. Electricity available for charging. Concessions will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
Registration will be available on Friday and again on Saturday. Entry fee is $40 for IMAC members and $60 for non-IMAC members. First time Basic pilots fly Free.
Pilots meeting will be at 8:30 on Saturday with wheels up shortly afterward. Pilots will receive their Unknowns at the Saturday meeting and we will fly the Unknown round on Saturday afternoon. Sunday will have additional Known round(s) and Freestyle.
Novice Class will be offered for this contest.
This class is designed for pilots who would like to try IMAC in a stress free non-competitive environment. Novice class will fly on Saturday only. Aircraft DOES NOT need to be a scale aerobatic aircraft. Pilots will fly the 2021 Basic sequence along with the Basic class and will be judged and scored by IMAC certified judges. Pilot will receive tips, techniques and feedback and this is a fantastic way to be involved on what precision aerobatics is all about without the competition and stress factor aspect of the contest. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, (Disclaimer) there is no antidote for the IMAC bug bite.
SIMPLY ART IN THE SKY!
