Once again we'll open the Northeast Flying season in Hagerstown, MD at the Pegasus Radio Control club. The field will be available Friday for practice, and primitive onsite camping will also be available. I know some people like to arrive early to setup their big rigs, so contact me if you need earlier access.
We will be using the alternate sequences this year, which will give us greater flexibility should we need to turn the flightline 90 degrees due to winds. The end of April in Maryland can be warm or cold, and can vary widely from Saturday to Sunday, so be prepared for anything.
We'll also plan to fly the unknown round on Saturday afternoon after the second round of Knowns. Depending on time, we will fly as many rounds of knowns after that as we can, with the plan to complete flying by 2:00 pm on Sunday.
Pilots meeting both days at 8:30 AM, with wheels up not later than 9:00 AM.
As of now, I will be planning to have the club cooking lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. Depending on attendance and interest, we'll try to arrange a group cookout at the field for Saturday night.
Registration Fee $50 for Non-IMAC Members, $30 for IMAC members.
We will also offer the new Novice Class Saturday. Novice flys Saturday only with the Basic Class, Flys the Basic sequence, but scores are not posted. Fly the sequence, get your score sheet, get some feedback from the judges, and learn what IMAC is all about.
Looking forward to another great year!
