Pyreneen Aerobatic Cup 2019
The CAAP 64 club hosted the IMAC Pyrenees Aerobatic 2019 competition in its magnificent infrastructure for a weekend of competition and conviviality.
For the club and these volunteers it's a first for this type of plane. The pilots are received very warmly (we do not speak of weather here !!!!!).
On Friday afternoons test flights are allowed, many people already present to take the marks.
Saturday morning everyone is in shape for the briefing at 8:30. The judges are fresh (it will not last ...), the sun is present, but the groupies have not yet fall the sarong!
The flights are chained all the morning, the 5 categories are represented. Two known programs are completed in the morning.
It's time for lunch, the break is welcome for everyone.
The afternoon (this is the pareo fell!), The heat is overwhelming.
An unknown program and a freestyle round will complete the day of competition.
In the evening, the meal organized by the club is done in a restaurant nearby. Everyone will agree to say "we feasted".
In bed it's time ....
Sunday morning, go to 8:30 for the briefing, the weather is foggy (but it's not just him ....)
The low ceiling will force the organization, after several attempts, to cancel the flights for the morning, but the good atmosphere remains de rigueur among all with a lot of discussions between all the drivers, the chaperones, the organizers a very good time of exchanges .
After a lunch to regain strength, the afternoon will finally see the sun and heat, allowing the conduct of a freestyle round of high fly (but it flew low will understand ...).
As a result, the traditional proclamation of the results and awards ceremony prepared to small onions by the CAAP 64 will close a very very nice weekend.
We must once again thank the judges who are essential for the smooth running of our events:
- Alain Carayon
- Raquel Matas
- Alain Détry
As well as David Delgado for coming up with the scoring software and tablets.
The Dufau family for their first flawless organization .... As well as the CAAP 64 club with all its volunteers who have worked for the smooth running of this competition.
Of course, thanks to the 16 pilots who answered.
