Hasparren Aerobatic Cup 2019
The participation is important,25 pilots have finally made the trip, often by far, several
nationalities are represented (Switzerland, Germany, Spain ....). On Friday afternoons
the training flights follow one another. Friday evening "cultural exchange" takes place in
a good mood, between oysters, duck sausages, fish soup, wines from all regions, it
Saturday morning, the alarm clock is a little hard but everyone is on feet and attack.
The morning sees unfold a full round of program known for all categories. Lunch fast
meal with flavors of the Basque country.
In the afternoon a complete program tour unknown for everyone. The timing is well
respected, everything is going well. The end of the day sees the atmosphere mounted
a notch with demos freestyle plane helicopter .... The fanfare champion of France came
close, and the “méchoui” that gives off a mouthwatering smell, the evening is beautiful
is well launched. It will cut the music to send everyone to bed.
Sunday morning is very hard.
This year the fog is not on the ground but in the heads of the pilots .... Once breakfast
is served, the flight tours resume. A tour of known before the meal or the axoa will be
tasted and appreciated !!!
In the afternoon a stroll of stranger from the traditional photo break. The Mayor of
Hasparren has come to greet us and make an encouraging speech for the continuity of
Freestyle, 14 pilots participate for a great show in a beautiful setting. The end will be a
little disturbed by a windy weather due to storms.
The awards ceremony everyone smiles and we feel that the weekend is successful.
It was a great weekend with great weather and we hope that the dynamics of this last
contest will be present on the first of 2020.
Thanks to all the pilots present at the Hasparren Aerobatic Cup 2019, to the volunteers
and judges without whom the competitions are not possible as well as to the Club
Also thanks to everyone who came on the different contests this season that showed
the attractiveness of our category.
We hope that you will be even more present in 2020 on all the competitions.
As far as I'm concerned, I was very happy to receive you at home, very touched by
your mobilization and go tell you .... After a little meeting if I tell you that we put it back
in 2020 will you come !!!?

In no particular order they were: BATTAGLIA Enzo, CAILLABA PeÌ?io, CALDITO Jon, COUCHAUX Philippe, DETRY Nicolas, DUFAU Benjamin, EMERY Yves, FRADET Fabien, GARCIA Borja, GIACHETTO Paul, GLORY Mathieu, GUILLAT Jean, HEMERY Guillaume, HEMON Olivier, KUMPFERT Jorg, LABORDERIE Damian, LEVY Alexis, MIQUEU Fred, MIQUEU TheÌ?o, PINAUD SeÌ?bastien, RIGODANZO Matthieu, UZAN Nicolas and VARLET Pierre Louis. These pilots flew a grand total of 315 judged sequences.
GUILLAT Jean won the Basic class. There were 2 pilots in Basic. The winning order was: (1) GUILLAT Jean and (2) GIACHETTO Paul. They flew 4 known sequences (2 rounds). The scores ranged from a low of 929.6 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 70.4 points).
LABORDERIE Damian won the Sportsman class. There were 6 pilots in Sportsman. The winning order was: (1) LABORDERIE Damian, (2) LEVY Alexis, (3) COUCHAUX Philippe, (4) HEMERY Guillaume, (5) UZAN Nicolas and (6) CAILLABA PeÌ?io. They flew 2 known sequences (1 round) and 2 unknown rounds. The scores ranged from a low of 826 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 174 points).
MIQUEU TheÌ?o won the Intermediate class. There were 6 pilots in Intermediate. The winning order was: (1) MIQUEU TheÌ?o, (2) VARLET Pierre Louis, (3) GLORY Mathieu, (4) HEMON Olivier, (5) PINAUD SeÌ?bastien and (6) EMERY Yves. They flew 2 known sequences (1 round) and 2 unknown rounds. The scores ranged from a low of 922.8 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 77.2 points).
KUMPFERT Jorg won the Advanced class. There were 3 pilots in Advanced. The winning order was: (1) KUMPFERT Jorg, (2) RIGODANZO Matthieu and (3) GARCIA Borja. They flew 2 known sequences (1 round) and 2 unknown rounds. The scores ranged from a low of 796.3 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 203.7 points).
DETRY Nicolas won the Unlimited class. There were 6 pilots in Unlimited. FRADET Fabien won the Freestyle class. There were 13 pilots in Freestyle. They flew 1 freestyle round. The scores ranged from a low of 602.6 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 397.4 points).
The tightest competition was for 4th place in the Unlimited class, with only 1.8 points difference between DUFAU Benjamin and CALDITO Jon.
