This process has been modified to reflect
the latest changes in the scoring program (Version 2.18)
OK…the event is finally over! Everyone has packed it in and headed home after a fun filled weekend. As you know, the CD’s job doesn’t exactly stop when the last plaque is handed out on Sunday afternoon. You still have to get the contest information, details on all the new IMAC members you signed up, and the money out into the right hands.
If you used Dave Smith’s outstanding scoring program for IMAC Contests – Score!, getting the info on the IMAC website is easy! Dave’s program automatically generates the reports in a format that is ready for posting to the website and all you have to do is email those files to the IMAC webmaster. Sounds easy (and it is) but let’s look at the quick steps to do this…
Step 1
Locate the data files in the folder where Score! is installed. Among all the files in this folder will be the 5 files you need to send:
allpilots.dat
flights.dat
pilots.dat
prefs.dat
sequences.dat
Step 2
If you have WinZip, simply zip these files into a single ZIP file. If you are running Windows XP or Vista, you can use the built-in compression software by selecting the files (CTRL-Click on each of the report files), RIGHT CLICK on one of the selected files, and select Send –> Compressed (Zipped) Folder.
Step 3
Email the ZIP file to webmaster@mini-iac.com with a subject line of: Contest Results and the IMAC Region and name of the event in the Body of the email.
It’s that simple!
If you have any questions, just post your question in the IMAC Online section of The Forums – the place for questions about the website.
