For those of that remember me I used to be big into IMAC in the South central region 8-9 years ago. I was regional contest coordinator and national scorekeeper and CD'd 10 contest at Texoma prior to Doug. Iwasnt the best pilot mid pack sportsman. Life threw me a lot of curveballs one after another. Bad cras at Nats, bad car wreck with a horse, divorce, loosing 3 close family members back to back just to name a few. I lost all heart for everything including the hobby I loved for 30 years and sold everything. Didn't touch a transmitter for 7 years. Well what don't kill you will make you stronger. I am happily remarried to the love of my life. Money is really really tight due to me taking a gamble and getting cheaper medical insurance then my wife getting cancer. She is doing great now all gone strong woman. Well I got a couple electric planes and starting to get an itch that I couldn't financially scratch. I.e. IMAC. I flew 100basic and 50 sportsman sequences on a 60" electric and planned to come in last place at a contest. I dreamed of a 35-40%but was content with flying my electric.
I called an old good friend from the IMAC community to see if he was still flying. We talked about an hour catching up. Then he texts me a week latersaying he had a proposition for me. I returned the calls due could not believe my ears. He still had a RTF 42% aeroteck with carden wings that he bought from Ryan Gonsoulin that he hadn't flown in 7 years and hewanted to know when I could come to Louisiana to get my plane. He wouldn't take no for an answer. So now I am on my way home from Louisiana trailer loaded down. I have never been more touched. I am a very happy man. Words can not express my thank to Phyl. Oubre. Sorry for the long post I just wanted to share what a great community we are in

Dan,

Welcome back. I think you helped add some content on how you practiced a new Sportsman sequence for my IMAC Tips back in 2006.

Say "Hi" to Phil and Ryan for me. I really miss seeing those guys at the Tucson Shootout.

Hey Dan, welcome back. I think it was 2007 when I was the Scale Aerobatics NATS Event Director. You come up from Texas to train and help my wife Rhonda run the scoring program plus you flew in the event. Thanks again for helping us out. I am still Treasurer of IMAC and have helped with every NATS since the year you came up. Doug told me you were getting back in. Great to hear that and good to hear you are doing well. Hope to see you soon.

Hey Dan! Great to hear that you are back and well. Look forward to seeing you again. Maybe if I get to judge your flying you can get a COUPLE of 8's (if the price is right!). Seriously, it is always great to see a lost sheep find its way back home. WELCOME BACK!

If I don't reply....I must be flying!!!!!
