I notice several "first-timers" registered in the NC Regions page; thought it might be worth noting in case some aren't aware that you must register for NATs through the AMA. Your registration on this site is really just for informational purposes, and will do you as much good as a handful of pocket lint when you try to pick up your pilot credentials at AMA.
You can call the AMA to get registered and pay over the phone.
Call the AMA at (800) 435-9262 - 1-800-I-FLY-AMA
Extension 261 Yolanda Jones will be more than happy to help.
You can also download the registration forms from the link in the first post of this thread, though time for mailing in the forms is growing short.

OK EL CHUPACABRA IS IN BABY!!!!!

Question, I saw on the rules, 9. We will try to acquire Dedicated Judges in 2017. IF dedicated judges can not be acquired, Contestant Judging will be used to fill
the vacancies during the 2017 NATs. Missing a judging assignment could result in the contestant’s next round being ZERO’d!
Changing of assignments is acceptable, but the scheduled judge will receive the zero for a missed judging assignment unless coordinated
with the NATs CD.

If we have dedicated judges, who are they? what kind of beer do they like? favorite restaurants? do they like large or small bills? just irrelevant info I need.

No Primo, No Dedicated Judges. Contestant (and some others to fill gaps) will be used. And personally, All I drink is Pepsi and small bills spend to quickly.

Can't say I didn't try,

Another question.

This is at the end of the rules; FOAMIES are welcome after competition is complete each day. to me, it reads I can fly a foamie even if I had gotten my UK for the next day. I am aware sometimes people wait to get their UK so they can go and fly some but it is in the actual rules and it mentions nothing about flying after getting the UK.

Thanks

Primo

Ok, it has been allowed in the past. Will again be allowed. Just foamies in the evening. That said, I would draw a line at a larger aerobatic styled foamy plane. BigGrin And to further clarify before it is asked.

If anyone needs to test fly their IMAC plane after a repair or a backup plane is pulled out, it can only be done without or before the pilot and their spotter getting the unknowns and myself or another designated Event Team Member observing on site 3 only.

Just a few items to update everyone on from a few texts and emails.

Any additional camping needs are to be made with Yolanda at AMA.

Golf Carts - All of the ones we had available for rental have been reserved and paid for. (Per Yolanda)

Practice - If you have guys come in before June 26 you can practice on site 3, and you need to make sure that the do not over the fly road. (Per Yolanda)

Pilot Draw order - Tuesday evening at Pilots meeting, will be "Old School" Pilot Pin Order draw for Wednesday flight order. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, will be randomly generated by an "Excel Spread Sheet" with a random pull order. This is so the conflicts can be worked out and matrixes can be worked thru and changes necessary can be done and judging assignments made and complete way ahead of time and be posted.

FreeStyle will be "Old School" pilot pin pull.

We are quickly approaching people! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Direct contact info douglas.pilcher@gmail.com or text or call (903)647-2640 (If voice and voice mail, please leave message) and if Text include name please.
