I can confirm this information was not collected at the 2017 NATS. Guess I dropped the ball. Since I have 2 more years in my NATS contract, I will try to make this available at the 2018 and 2019 NATS.

With enough forethought, it can be accomplished. Pilots have to attend the pilots meeting the evening prior to the start of the NATS.....
A form can be made and passed around at that meeting to collect the info.

At the 2014 Worlds, we had a form at the check in table. Phyllis Youngblood made the form, from which the information was later transferred to her Exel program that she made up.

I have been to a lot of Nats, and there has never been a formal collection of this data by contest management that I can recall. When it has been published, it has been by an independent observer who collected it, or just from someone's memory of who flies what.

Doug... Even when one thinks that the bases are covered, there will still be gaps...... As can be seen in the data that was collected at the 2014 Worlds. Some fields were not written in by the pilots.

To be honest.... I don't think anyone previously had collected such data at any of the Scale Aerobatics NATS, including during my tenure. Still, for future reference, it might be an avenue to pursue so we can see the progression of the electrics and when pilots start moving in that direction.

I thought the question was interesting, so I ran with it.
I am going to email and see if I get a response. It is pretty thorough, so I imagine I will get some of the blanks that Wayne experienced.
Was just something I hadn't thought of before.
