Hello! Welcome to “Getting Started” in the IMAC site forum “The Hangar”. I’m assuming, since you are at “Getting Started” you are new to the site and may or may not be a member of IMAC, yet! If you are a member you are free to comment with questions and someone will offer help. If you haven’t joined yet, you may read the forum posts to get started on your way to scale precision aerobatics and IMAC. If you would like to take advantage of the member benefits including engaging in forum topics with comments please JOIN IMAC now.
http://www.mini-iac.org/joinIMAC

A little site help- the drop down menu on the home page is your starting maneuver! Under that menu you will find “Information”- What IMAC is about as well as why and how to join. You’ll also see “Regions”- select your area to find contest listings. “Downloads” and “Education” have very useful information too. See other threads in “Getting Started” for more help.

You may have seen the new promo spot for IMAC Novice class on episode 6, 2019 of AMAAir, the bi-monthly video show. http://air.modelaircraft.org

Or, maybe you saw a Facebook post or a flyer. However you found your way (please tell us), we’re glad you made it here and hope you share it with your friends.

If you are interested in taking advantage of the new Novice Class PLEASE make sure you contact the contest CD (listed on the flyer or FB post/ event or under “regions” for the contest near you) early. They should be able to set you up with someone to help prepare and practice prior to your one day “inside the ropes” at an IMAC event to fly with the Basic Class and get mentored by a more experienced pilot.

We all hope that this initiative gets those of you who have been interested but hesitated for whatever reasons, to get out and try it in a laid back informative, fun atmosphere.

Hope to see you at a contest this season.

Thanks,

Daren Hudson
NE Region Pilot, CD and AMA AVP.

The answer to all questions lies in the bottom of your fuel can, and in your plane setup
