Hey guys......been flying Cardens 40% and larger for last several years. Only system I ever had was 12FG radio and R6014HS receivers. As you probably know that receiver is no longer available so I'm looking at S.Bus system and I know nothing about it but I've been doing a lot of reading. Can some one please tell me which receiver I need for a seven servo system? Do I need enough receiver inputs to accommodate two battery leads along with ignition shutoff as well That is ten receiver inputs right there. i"ve read that with SBus your only limited by the radio channels, not the receiver channels. Is the R6202SBW receiver sufficient? How many SBus hubs are needed? I'm rambling now. Also been using 123 batts. are they ok with SBus? Just need recommendation. Also looking at the 14SG transmitter.
Thanks for your patience and help, Tom

I would recomend futaba 16sz or 18sz. I think futaba USA has the18sz listed as $350 of with the new 32mz coming out.

Then use 2 7008rx’s
One will be channels 1-8 the other 9-16. No sbus needed. Run separate switches and batteries to each rx. Totally redundant system that has served me well thousands of flights

The answer to all questions lies in the bottom of your fuel can, and in your plane setup

Tom, I've attached a diagram of the setup I have in my 230z. I use one 7008 Rx but you could go to a 7006 to save some coin.

I also use two 3S packs with Castle Pro BECs to run continuous power to all my servos. It also allows me to spread power to each of the 4 Sbus hubs in my plane. Your A123 packs would work fine without the BECs

Thanks Matt and Dan. This is what I need. Diagram is great.
So apparently the SB receiver can operate as many servos as channels that the transmitter has outputs for. Love this hobby.
