Howdy all, long time RC sport fixed wing and helicopter pilot.
I fly at Willie McCool field in North Las Vegas with a pretty good bunch of folks.
My flying buddy Gene Mason has insisted (been working on me for a couple of years) that I try this IMAC thing out.

So...I joined IMAC a couple of days ago, and plan to register for the Las Vegas event happening next week.

Question, how long does it take for membership number to show up on your profile? Do you get an email with it?
Need it for registration along with my AMA number.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to the experience.

Tim,
First welcome to IMAC! And I think your buddy Gene has been pushing the right buttons! Just a heads up though, like all facets of the RC world, IMAC and Scale Aerobatics is addictive. Ok, we have that out of the way. HA!

As for your IMAC number. It does take the treasurer a few days to process them but rest assured it will get done. At that point a membership card along with a little welcome packet will be mailed to you so please make sure your profile is complete. But let's assume, and very unlikely it does not get completed before the Las Vegas contest on the 21st. I assure you just be at the event, you can fly, and you will indeed get awarded points. Your RD, Alex Dreiling will make sure of it. With the new members coming in mid-season or in this case end of season, it is something all regional directors deal with many times in a season for new region members and can get done.

Not a problem or worry there I assure you. Practice and burn some gas and get ready for your contest.

Again welcome to IMAC and enjoy the flying and just hanging with a great group of people!

Tim, You can now Log In to the IMAC site and you will see your IMAC Membership number. Sorry for the delay but I left on a "spur of the moment" RV trip last Monday and I just got back to IMAC work this morning.
I do want to welcome you to IMAC and hope you have a blast! If you have any trouble with your Membership number please contact me.

Just a short note to say thank you for everyone who helped me feel welcome and to "survive" my first IMAC event this weekend in Las Vegas.

Particularly thanks to Tim May for making sure I understood the rules and how the event would be conducted.
Also many thanks to Gene Mason, Danny Diaz, Gil Terzo, Johnny O, and the rest whose name I did not catch for advice and support.

I had a great time and enjoyed both days very much.
