this is the 23rd year, back to back, of IMAC contests in the same flying field! May be a record.

Well look what got dropped off today! Sure hope my Unlimited guys are coming.....

Weather is looking FANTASTIC and in the 80's and prep (you know me) has long since been happening and looking forward to some Scale Aerobatic Fun and some good food and hanging out in the evening. Maybe Shane will bring his guitar again?

I want to thank everyone who came out to Sherman This weekend and what an outstanding crowd and event! Hope all made it home safely or are close to home by now. Here are you Un-Official Results until final checks are completed and will post out in the early hours tomorrow morning! It was a pleasure to be sure. Special Shout out to Cam Shahrdar and Amanda Coke and Rich Whitlow for all their support as well as the ARD's able to attend, Dan Powell and Rudy Voldrich! We are making South Central EVER Stronger STILL!


23rd Annual Texoma IMAC Challenge
Overall, there were 21 pilots flying in the 23rd Annual Texoma IMAC Challenge contest. In no particular order they were: Allen Delger, Brad Ahlfinger, Brent Bernard, Chris Shockley, Craig Rideout , Dan Powell, Greg Dial, Hank Cooper, James Barfield, Jason Watts, Jonathan Chippeaux, Marc Lorenz, Mike Cooper, Nick Scharping, Rhett Lambert, Rich Whitlow, Ron Moore, Rudy Voldrich, Shane Snyder, Tim Hughes and Wilton Stewart . These pilots flew a grand total of 297 judged sequences.


Jonathan Chippeaux won the Basic class. There were 8 pilots in Basic. The winning order was: (1) Jonathan Chippeaux, (2) Marc Lorenz, (3) Brent Bernard, (4) Brad Ahlfinger, (5) Jason Watts, (6) James Barfield, (7) Wilton Stewart and (8) Ron Moore. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 647.7 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 352.3 points).


Tim Hughes won the Sportsman class. There were 4 pilots in Sportsman. The winning order was: (1) Tim Hughes, (2) Nick Scharping, (3) Allen Delger and (4) Chris Shockley. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 940.6 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 59.4 points).


Rudy Voldrich won the Intermediate class. There were 5 pilots in Intermediate. The winning order was: (1) Rudy Voldrich, (2) Mike Cooper, (3) Craig Rideout , (4) Dan Powell and (5) Rich Whitlow. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 936 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 64 points).


Greg Dial won the Advanced class. There were 2 pilots in Advanced. The winning order was: (1) Greg Dial and (2) Rhett Lambert. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 991.9 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 8.1 points).


Hank Cooper won the Unlimited class. There were 2 pilots in Unlimited. The winning order was: (1) Hank Cooper and (2) Shane Snyder. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 725.6 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 274.4 points).


Allen Delger won the Seniors class. There were 3 pilots in Seniors. The winning order was: (1) Allen Delger, (2) Hank Cooper and (3) Ron Moore. They flew 6 known sequences (3 rounds) and 1 unknown round. The scores ranged from a low of 716.469 to a high of 1,000.000 (a range of 283.531 points).


Rhett Lambert won the Freestyle class. There were 3 pilots in Freestyle. The winning order was: (1) Rhett Lambert, (2) Jonathan Chippeaux and (3) Nick Scharping. They flew 1 freestyle round. The scores ranged from a low of 812.5 to a high of 1,000 (a range of 187.5 points).


The tightest competition was for 1st place in the Intermediate class, with only 2.1 points difference between Rudy Voldrich and Mike Cooper.

It was a very good time, ran very well. There were several very close races, it was exciting.
