Well it takes approximately 12 minutes to fly a sequence. There are 12 months in a year. One of those was last month. And there you have it! Last month's minutes Flapper

A small request;. Can the file names of the knowns be changed to resemble what they represent before being uploaded. The current file names are very obscure and I find it difficult to easily find them while looking through my files, especially on a phone or mobile device.

Mike, I already do that, but that's not the point of my request. One quick and simple change on your end can make things much more convenient for all our current and prospective members.

We can’t because the website encrypts all files uploaded and downloaded. Be glad your not on the sequence committee were we deal with it every day.

It's not an encryption process but rather a serialization process, likely. It appears this website is a DotNetNuke
content management system (CMS)? The files themselves are uploaded to a document repository in the CMS and the filenames themselves are set to a globally unique ID (GUID) when they are uploaded. While I don't think it would be impossible to affect a change, it likely requires a level of technical understanding that would be costly and time-consuming to pull off.

I don't think Mike is being dismissive. It's strictly a matter that the cost and effort to try to make "friendly" filenames would be prohibitive, if not impossible.

Matt,
When you go to download you can change the file name before you hit save. At least on my PC I can.

They are actually indeed uploaded with the correct file names Matt as I am one posting them. The system then encrypts them as previously stated. They need to be downloaded as "Save As" and also as previously stated, not a change that is possible with the site and security.

Thanks guys. This small annoyance was more related to the usage of these files on my phone where I don't get that option. Files are just downloaded and saved as is from the website and it was challenging to find the correct file after downloading. I rarely sit down at a PC or anything with a keyboard so I thought this could be adjusted to make our organization more mobile friendly. Until Mike shared the fact that the files are encrypted through our website it seemed like a simple fix to a minor inconvenience.
thanks 1 user thanked Matt Komar for this useful post.
