This is Cheryl posting under Mark's name. Mark had his neck surgery yesterday morning and did well. The Dr. said he had alot of arthritis, bone spurs, etc but they got it all cleaned up, took 2 disc out and replaced them and added a metal plate. He is sore and some pain but drugs are helping, as well as ice packs. We got home from the hospital this morning around 11:30am and he is in his recliner watching tv and relaxing. He plans on sleeping in it for a few days. Thanks for all of the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers prior to surgery. It really has meant alot to us both. Cheryl and Mark |

Thanks guys. So far all is going well. He went from 11:30 pm to 9:30 am without any drugs. We arent sure if he didnt need them or we were so tired we just slept thru time for them. He has his neck brace on so the only way to watch TV is in his recliner....for some reason, he isnt complaining about that |

Mark has had a "rough" day in the recliner. He started the day with pancakes and chocolate milk...then a short walk around the neighborhood. After that, the recliner called his name and a car race was just bonus. He is doing good right now. Still taking some pain meds and ice packs, but that is to be expected for a few days still. Thanks for all the well wishes, we really appreciate them. |

Well, its almost a week since Mark had his surgery. He is getting bored being in the house alot. We have been going for at least 4 walks a day. Today he says everything is sore....either he is sore from sitting so much or walking...who knows. Either way, hopefully he will get the soreness out soon. Thanks for all the good wishes and thoughts. |

Mark is doing okay for the most part. Still some soreness. He went all day Sunday without any pain meds, so that is good. He is gonna try going to work for a couple of hours on Monday...around lunch time...and I get to drive him. No driving for him until he see the Dr. on the 13th. His main complaint is his butt is getting tired and sore from all the sitting he is doing. In otherwords, he is tired of sitting around. He has been flying his little Novus heli in the backyard some and is getting pretty good at it. |

Well, we did the work thing today for a few hours...and boy, it wore him out. He was having some pain by time we got back home. And he decided, it is not the time to go back to work yet. He is gonna be at home for a few more weeks. Maybe next week he will work at home, but no going into the office yet. Thank goodness he has a good boss that tells him to do what is best for him and not worry about work. Thanks Randy.
