For the 2018 IMAC Worlds, the commencement of the flying could not have had a better day to start. There was a beautiful sunrise, very little wind and relatively low humidity. Everyone was ready to go and the flying started pretty much on time at 8am.
Three Known Rounds were completed and an Unknown Round. The rounds were even completed ahead of schedule. Many flights were made, and everyone had plenty of attempts to achieve that perfect sequence. With all the flying, we were lucky to only have very few mishaps.
With the day complete, the Unknowns for the following day were passed out and everyone has begun study for tomorrow’s flights.
We hope for great weather again in the upcoming days.
A few people have asked about a few items that are being sold. First, IMAC Swag (T-Shirts, Cups, Medals, etc. will be available at both sites at different times of the day. Please get your items quick, as stock is beginning to run low!
Also, Shane Snyder has the hand-made judging sticks, that are a work of art. If you haven’t purchased one yet see Shane and he can get you one. Also, Kevin Schmidt has a DA120 with headers and cans available, if anyone is interested. Lastly, I know a couple of teams will be selling their competition planes before they leave.
Remember, we have plenty of flying left to do. Rest up and be ready to get those planes in the air!
